Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a British-Nigerian mixed race child was born into a family in South London. Her father is Nigerian Swiss as is her mom who's English. She grew on a South London community estate, as a teenager, she fourteen, she attended The Brit School. She went to The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London in which she earned an acting BA. She appeared on stage in several productions as a student like the role of King Henry V, as Princess Katherine, and Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe got her start in acting with a film titled Storm Damage. In the following years, she appeared on Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's breakout came with 2007's Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream. It was in the role of Colin Farrell (who played the role of Cassandra) as well as Ewan McGrath. Then, she played Elisha, the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In her role, she also played Ollie in the six episodes from Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In the ITV2 show Secret Diary of a Call Girl featured her in the year 2008 as Bambi. Madekwe also appeared on the comedic How to Lose Friends and to annoy people (2008). Her credits in theatre include Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe first aired in the US in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama series was telecast in the US on The CW for only two episodes, before it was cancelled. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge from February 2011. In May of 2013, it was announced that Madekwe who had played a regular role in the two previous seasons, was to leave the series with a guest appearance on the premiere episode of the new season. The actress portrayed Tituba in the television series Salem from 2014 to 2016. Madekwe married her long-time lover, Iddo. They've worked together on Secret Diary of a Call Girl and also had a role alongside her on the show Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress who was raised in the large family. She was born to Patty and Roy Leggat. Her four older brothers were also in the family including twins Todd and Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's sports brothers were avid baseball players during the summer months and hockey during winters. Ashley did not have the ability to walk. She would dance. At 2 and a 1/2 when she was a little older, she was a part of Baby Ballet. Ashley was hooked on dance immediately. Ashley was a competitor in ballet, tap and jazz in the high divisions. She was crowned the top individualist in all the major dance competitions including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance just to mention a few.
